Juanita Davis, LCSW, MBA, CYT200

Hi, I’m Juanita Davis. I created Living Well because I’m passionate about helping women overcome life’s challenges and begin their journey to wellness.

My own journey began a decade ago after a painful breakup. I was a complete mess. I was overwhelmed with anger, sadness and emotions that showed in all areas of my life. At home I was irritable and absent with my family and friends. I was working from home at a job that was unfulfilling, and mentally I had checked out. I struggled to get through each day as I tried to balance caring for a one year old and earning a living during such a difficult time.

I was so busy working and caring for others that I neglected to care for myself. As a result my health started to suffer. Anxiety turned into an irregular heart beat and TMJ from grinding my teeth at night. I decided to take my health into my own hands, and do the hard work of healing.

My journey led me to yoga. I had taken a few yoga classes here and there and remembered feeling calm afterwards. I wondered what would happen if I practiced yoga every day. I was amazed that after only two weeks my sleep and anxiety improved. I stopped grinding my teeth and my heart palpitations stopped. My decision to become a yoga teacher was easy and without regrets. I’m inspired by the many life transformations yoga has sparked, the first being my own.

My journey also led me to energy healing, nutrition, meditation, and cognitive therapies. Each one acting as a missing piece to a puzzle. I’ve spent the past decade learning, training and sharing what I know works.

I create a safe space where your unique journey can unfold, and where you’ll feel empowered to manage whatever life throws your way.

Just for fun…

Someone recently asked me what I do in my free time. I laughed and said, “What free time?”.  As a mother of three active boys, my life is very busy which is why I cherish every moment and make self-care and quiet time a top priority. I love yoga, and when I’m not teaching a class or workshop, I’m taking a class. I spend time in my edible garden, and as a budding herbalist I enjoy playing in my herbs making teas and tonics.
